At Better Life Partners, we believe that healing from addiction happens when communities come together. That’s why we’ve made community partnerships the cornerstone of our approach. We work hand-in-hand with food banks, correctional facilities, treatment providers and more organizations to provide care and support for those affected by opioid and alcohol use disorder.

Today, we’re proud to highlight one of our new community partners in North Carolina: The Rose Francis Foundation.

Through partnerships like these, we’re able to extend our reach and impact, ensuring that North Carolinians have access to the support they need, exactly where they need it most—in their own community.

Tell us about the Rose Francis Foundation. What’s your mission and how long have you been serving the community?

The Rose Francis Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) headquartered in Fayetteville, North Carolina that was established in April 2022 by local business owner Haja Jallow-Konrat, owner of Caring Hearts Behavioral Services LLC. At Rose Francis Foundation we are committed to becoming a community leader in serving parents with children under the age of eighteen, women, and expectant parents through our triad of programs; Food Pantry/Clothing Closet, Financial Assistance, and Parent Support Materials. As a growing organization, we continue to expand our impact by meeting community needs with compassion and forming strong, meaningful partnerships.

What programs and services do you offer, and who do you primarily serve?

  1. Food Pantry Assistance/Clothing Closet: Providing families with essential groceries, hygiene items, baby supplies, and clothes on a weekly basis.
  2. Financial Assistance: Supporting families facing hardship with help toward emergency expenses and basic needs.
  3. Empowerment Talks: Instagram Live sessions focused on mental wellness, financial literacy, stress management and personal development.
  4. Community Outreach & Resource Connections: Partnering with local businesses to connect clients to housing, healthcare, and counseling services.
  5. Parenting Support: Offering parenting modules to strengthen parenting strategies.

How do your experiences inform the work you do?

Coming from a background where I witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by women and families in low income communities, I understand the importance of having access to not just resources but also the support and opportunity.

What brings you joy or fuels you in your work?

Personally and professionally, my experiences fuel my commitment to ensure that women and families feel supported and empowered. That’s why the work we do at the Rose Francis Foundation is not just impactful, it’s personal.

How did you decide to partner with Better Life Partners? What makes us the right fit for those you serve?

We chose to partner with Better Life Partners because their mission strongly aligns with ours delivering compassionate, accessible care to those in need. Many of the women and families we support face similar challenges, including limited access to mental health services and reliable healthcare. What makes this partnership a great fit is our mutual dedication to meeting people where they are. Better Life Partners provides community based support that compliments the services we offer at the Rose Francis Foundation. Together, we can create a stronger safety net for our community.

Is there anything else you’d like our readers to know about the Rose Francis Foundation? How can people learn more or get involved?
