Recovery from Opioid Addiction is Possible
Opioid Use Disorder is treatable. And, recovery is possible. At Better Life Partners, we offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in Maine because it’s been clinically proven to help those in treatment recover from opioid addiction and reduce their chance of an overdose death (National Quality Forum). Medication-assisted treatment uses prescription medications, like buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone), to help manage withdrawal symptoms like cravings and it blocks certain effects of opioids. You can learn more about Suboxone here.
What is Medication-Assisted Treatment?
Medication-assisted treatment is the use of medications, in combination with counseling, to provide a holistic approach to the treatment of substance use disorders.
At Better Life Partners in Maine, we use buprenorphine/naloxone (Suboxone), which reduces withdrawal symptoms and cravings. The use of this medication reduces the risk of relapse and overdose and can help you participate more fully in your treatment.
