HANOVER, N.H. (July 6, 2022) – Better Life Partners, the leading community-based provider of substance use treatment throughout New England, recently earned a three-year accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), a distinction that highlights Better Life Partners’ compliance with internationally accepted standards, superior practices and commitment to providing members with comprehensive addiction treatment and improved health outcomes.
“We’re proud to have earned this honor which validates the work we do to meet the intricate needs of underserved individuals and populations affected by substance use disorder,” said Paul Kiernan, Better Life Partners’ Quality and Compliance Lead. “Our compassionate clinical care teams are dedicated to rebuilding communities and helping all of our members achieve healthier lives.”

Its community-based partnerships build lasting support networks and virtual technologies that expand access,
Representing the highest level of accreditation, this honor shows an organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. To receive a Three-Year Accreditation, organizations are put through a rigorous peer review process, including an on-site visit from a team of surveyors who measure the organization’s commitment to offering programs and services that are accountable and of the highest quality. Better Life Partners enlisted the help of PowderHorn Consulting (PHC) to assist with the process of accreditation readiness.
“A highly trusted friend of our program recommended PHC,” said Steve Kelly, Better Life Partners’ Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer. “The process was invigorating and rewarding for our entire team. Our departments worked collaboratively to integrate the CARF standards with our harm reduction philosophy of belonging, love, and purpose.”
