Frequently asked questions
After we prescribe your medication, you will be contacted by the Pharmacy Care Coordinator. Their job is to handle scheduling your injection. Just a heads up that they will be calling from a non-local number. The pharmacy care coordinator will work with you to determine the best available day, time, and pharmacy location for your appointment. Osco/Shaw’s offer the Sublocade or Brixadi at 11 different pharmacies across the state.
Find the pharmacist, tell them, “I’m here for my appointment” and share your name and date of birth. They will take care of you from there.
The pharmacists at Osco/Shaw’s are trained to provide this specific medication to you. Your visit may take up to 1 hour. Once they are ready to see you, the pharmacist will bring you to a private space, go over important information and prepare you for the injection. After you receive the injection, you will spend about 15 minutes in the pharmacy to be monitored. You’ll also schedule your next appointment before you leave the pharmacy
