Better Life Partners provides the people of Maine with what it takes to heal from addiction. We provide these services to whomever, wherever, whenever. We combine individually focused, multi-disciplinary, and culturally-informed care with the utilization of impactful community partnerships. Better Life Partners delivers whole-person treatment founded on a non-punitive, harm-reduction approach centered on member autonomy and preferences. We offer inclusive, accessible, and integrated healthcare that provides Mainers the tools to live a healthy life, full of belonging, love, and purpose.

What is expected of me during treatment?

Treatment expectations vary based on individual needs, but generally include regular attendance at therapy sessions, adherence to prescribed medications, and active participation in your recovery plan. We work with you design a plan based on your unique recovery journey and our door is always open.

Does Better Life Partners accept MaineCare?

Yes, we accept MaineCare, Medicare, and private insurance. We also offer a sliding fee scale as needed. We make treatment available to anyone who wants it, regardless of ability to pay.

What's Better Life Partners' Alcohol Use Disorder Treatment like?

Our Alcohol Use Disorder treatment program includes supportive group therapy with licensed professionals. We may also prescribe FDA-approved medications such as naltrexone, acamprosate, or disulfiram if appropriate. Our approach is tailored to meet your individual needs and goals.

What types of substance use disorders do you treat?

We specialize in treating Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). Our programs are designed to address the specific needs of individuals struggling with these conditions.

Do you offer general mental health services?

Yes, our mental health program is available to OUD and AUD members. It includes diagnosis of conditions, medication management, and laboratory support services. We work to treat co-occurring conditions and provide comprehensive support.

What is responsive care?

Responsive care is a service available to our OUD and AUD members. Through this program, our medical providers diagnose, treat, and prevent various health conditions, including HCV, STIs, skin issues, wounds, and UTIs.
